Budget Support Specialist

Cetechs, a Small Business, is seeking a Budget Support Specialist to join our team of
professionals under the leadership of our Program Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on developing the planning process for extramural activities.
  • Collect, edit, tabulate, analyze, interpret, and disseminate qualitative and quantitative data related to fiscal policy, expenditure, and allocation issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all provisions and applicable regulations regarding the award of funds.
  • Serve as liaison between CDC country offices, DGHT Headquarters, and OFR.
  • Gather, assemble, and format budget data and prepare preliminary analysis for budget preparation. 
  • Assist in preparation and presentation of preliminary and final budget documents.
  • Prepares budget presentation materials; maintains data and systems for budget tracking and reporting and generates reports.
  • Assist with issues related to funds availability, fund transfers and budget compliance.
  • Participates in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Perform business and/or budget management tasks to include budget support.
  • Assist in collecting and organizing information required for preparation of analyses, reports, training materials, or any other customer deliverables and documents.
  • Perform budget monitoring, budget execution, tracking of expenditures, and budget reconciliation.
  • Provide technical assistance to improve budget preparation or execution processes.
Required Skills/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Business, Finance, Public Health, or equivalent field of study.
  • Must be a US Citizen or eligible to work in the US.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (includes editing and proofreading)
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environments.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects independently, often with tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Grants Solutions software.
  • Experience with managing logistics.
  • CDC experience a plus but not required.
